I am bored because the guys won the coin toss
and we are stuck watching Tom Cruise
almost get blown up over and over

Angie and I are in the corner of the couch
talking about nail polish of all things
Mel is flirting with Ryan
but he is completely clueless
Alex, Ferdi and TJ are trying to catch popcorn
in their mouths, trying to impress
each other I suppose
Carly is watching the movie
getting hit with popcorn occasionally
and talking with her twin sister Tru
At least I think that one is Carly

Then the movie is paused,
the guys get up and
the next thing I know
TJ has fallen across both
Angie and I
Mel tells us later that he was pushed because
all the guys think
he’s a dork for being
too chicken to ask me out

But I don’t want to be asked out and I wish
they’d leave the whole thing alone.

And I don’t know whether Mel talked TJ
into liking me or if TJ did it on his own
but either way I feel sorry for him
and decide that it’s time to fess up.
